Hey It's nice to meet you I'm
J. Harrington
I had difficulty finding three fun facts about myself that you could read below. It shouldn’t have been that hard to think of non-boring things about myself! But the truth of the matter is that for the past two years, I have been on a grind that starts somewhere around 5:30 in the morning and doesn’t end until the deep hours of the night.
My days are filled with work that expands the Kingdom, but I cherish the silence that allows me to hear My Creator more clearly- before the hustle and bustle of getting the kids to school and before the sound of typing takes over my quiet home.
Fun Facts
I met my husband when I was 15. We have been together for 26 years, now in my 40s thats half my life. And I've been so blessed for it.
I LOVE food. I will get more animated about eating and trying new foods than I will just about anything else. The only reason why I'm not a chef is because I hate the cleanup.
I taught myself how to read Russian in preparation to live there for a year. I've forgotten most it, but it came in real handy.
In the silence before the day begins is where I find my solace and my source of strength. Without the Lord guiding my hand, there would be no Swords Up, and you would not be reading these words. I would continue into obscurity, with the greatness God has done in my life untold.
Crazy that after so many years of living for the self that, I would find my purpose in showing you the amazing mystery yet to be uncovered in the pages of Scripture. And how wonderful it is to live with the cheat code we thought we had missed out on this entire time!
I hope to pique your curiosity, and that you dive into the word yourself.
There is little else to say about who J. is. Life, as it stands, is a blur of drop-offs and pick-ups, with the upbeat mixes of Christian hip-hop as the soundtrack of my life. This is a season for work. The time to pour out my gifts for Him. And this is the season to make up for all the time I’ve lost.
This is not something I have to do; it is something I get to do. For His glory, I will, and for His glory, I do.
